I, once again, visited Glen Ellis Falls in the White Mountains, but this time I took my buddy Elaine with me. She was amazed at the beauty of the landscape and the falling water. But, more about that in an upcoming blog post.
After leaving the falls, we wandered north on Route 16, passed the Auto Road for Mount Washington, and went to the base of Jericho Mountain in Berlin, NH. Wanting to get something to eat, we back-tracked south to Gorham and discovered Mr. Pizza.
The parking lot had been packed on the way up and was still fairly full three-quarters of an hour later. Thinking this was a good sign, we went in and got a table on the deck. The view off the deck is as depicted in the image below, which I made with my iPhone.
The view wasn't the only thing that was outstanding. We started off with a plate of onion rings with a horseradish sauce. Then we had one of their Bianca (veggie) pizzas. We normally prefer thin crust , but got their regular crust which was light and airy. The entire meal was great and I will stop there again when I am in the area. If you are up that way, you might want to give it a try. If you don't want pizza, they have a full restaurant menu.
If you click on the image below, a new window will open at their web-site.
Until next time...
