I am showing two images today that I made last evening using my iPhone (appropriate, don't you think). The image above this text is a hand-held HDR image using the TrueHDR iPhone application. The image below this text is a hand-held HDR image using the Pro HDR iPhone application. In my mind I got better dynamic range when using the first application. In both cases, the images used the auto presets in the respective app and are otherwise unmodified.
These apps are very inexpensive and can dramatically improve the capabilities of your phone photography in low light or mixed light situations. The top image gives me greater latitude should I decide to modify it to get more dramatic results, while the bottom image would require more work to get the same results.
Until next time..
